About Ace Auto Wash
At ACE Auto Wash® it is our job to give customers the cleanest, friendliest, highest-quality, auto wash experience in Michigan!
Ace Auto Wash is a self-service car wash in Ferndale, Michigan. It is listed at 1000 W Nine Mile Rd, Ferndale, MI 48220, which places it among the local businesses of Ferndale that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Ferndale, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Michigan, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (248) 277-1918. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, aceautowash.com.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 192 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Ferndale is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Ferndale is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Love this place! The self‑serve bays at Ace Auto Wash in Ferndale are always spotless and everything works exactly how it should. The sprayers have great pressure, the soap actually foams, and I never feel rushed. Perfect spot when you want to give your car a real hands‑on clean.

Love cleaning my own car no scratches like you get from the car washes you drive Into.

“$3 minimum credit card charge”. Any swipe automatically robs you out of $8, not $3 nor selectable. After overpaying for a wash and the sprayer was non-functional. The owner did answer but said to call back another time and hung up. Non responsive to any calls after. No thanks, I’ll go elsewhere next and every time.

Everthing works good here. I was able to get enough change. The water flow was good. The soap was soaping. I did use the vacuum this time but I have in the past. And it's close to home. I'd rather was my own vehicle as the paid services are always have done and I can't stand it! Wants something done do it yourself!

UPDATE: I figured out why the reviews are so low. Their credit card processing charges the inaccurate amount. It took me a while to realize this. I was basically robbed of over $40 by this scummy place. Reasonably priced car wash. Water pressure coming out seems more powerful than other ones in the area, and blast salt/dirt off clean off the paint. Bays are clean and modern. Although I never use the brush on my cars paint, it is a softer brush than what most self-serve car washes use, works good on windows and wheels. The soap on all settings seems like an above average amount. This place has become my regular car wash. Not sure why the reviews are so low.
